With my group, I am located in the research group
Statistical Physics of Soft Matter and Complex Systems that is led by Prof. Tanja Schilling.
The group's activities are summarized in the SOphT video [MP4, 90.7 MB] [MP4, 21.9 MB]. |

Recent finding: Anomalous Underscreening in the Restricted Primitive Model!
In Molecular Dynamics simulations of the Restricted Primitive Model we find the experimentally measured long-ranged correlations, but at lower ionic concentration than expected. In our work, published in Phys. Rev. Lett. 130 [link], we show that these correlations originate from ions forming neutral clusters that do not contribute to electostatic screening on larger scales. |
We started the measurements in the project Paramecium random swim, which is kindly supported by the University of Freiburg.
Our research is supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG) by a project on
Capacitive density functional theory for
structure and screening in ionic fluids and electric double layers
with applications in sustainability. Project description via gepris.dfg.de |
